Myanmar army launched offensive operations against Kokang rebel last year 2015. Since then there has been many big and small clashes going on in Kokang special administrative zone. Kokang in in the Northern Shan State and bordered with China.
The first battle was so severe and Myanmar army had many casualties. Then, the Myanmar army used air bomb aids bombing the areas. MA has been trying to seize several main locations to defeat the Kokang battle.
After days of offensive shooting with many big weapons, some key locations have been seized by the Myanmar army. The Kokang Army were out numbers in term of both soldiers and weapons.
Finally, those rebels are defeated with some fleeing into China. An official statement from Kokang Army has been released that there will be no more attacks from the Kokang Army and stated they are ready to surrender.
Many graphic photos have been leaked out to internets which show many of Myanmar Army soldiers had fallen brutally. Outrages broke out among the Burmans and request to cleanse out all the rebels. That time peace talks from many rebels groups were also held without success.
